Join Charleston Orwig in commemorating World Rare Disease Day 2010 (2.28.10)
Over the past months C|O has partnered with Children’s Rare Disease Network to introduce the Global Genes Project, a grassroots effort to raise awareness for kids suffering from rare diseases. There are currently more than 7,000 rare diseases identified, affecting 30 million people in the U.S. alone—and 75 percent of those affected are children. The Global Genes Project is a unique opportunity to raise awareness for these kids and support for the many different rare disease foundations. Please show your support by wearing jeans on World Rare Disease Day 2010 (2/28).
Groups around the country are supporting the program. Here are just a few of the promotional pieces they’re using.
