Much of our work is related to food, with clients that stretch from the farm gate to the dinner plate as some like to say. Food production, processing and even consumption spur many debates. Discussions about sustainability, food insecurity, the safety of our food supply and related topics can grow quite heated. This is particularly true when the topic turns to meat. Sides form quickly with aggressive and polarizing rhetoric escalating immediately. Each side is often left talking to itself, of course, with those who might be swayed covering their ears and turning to other topics. This is hardly a wise way to approach reputation management.
With that as backdrop, a video making the rounds last week proved to be quite interesting. It’s pro-meat, anti-vegetarian and rather funny. This is not the usual approach for either side. Too bad. It sure seems like a good idea.
